Overview

Configuration Instructions

Windows:

* Right-click on the sound icon in the taskbar;

* Select Playback or Recording devices;

* Adjust the volume on the computer and in the application.

Mac:

* Go to System Preferences > Sound > C-Media USB Headset > Output or Input > Volume

Had some electrical noise in one application (icecast streaming), but actually had improved performance in another. (Ham Radio FT8). It had more digital internal gain compared to another device, and picks up the weak signals better. The extension pigtail is nice. Reduces mechanical stress on the laptop usb port, and doesn't cover up other ports that are nearby.

This is the hands down cheapest approach to using a GoXLR on Mac. There are plenty of YouTube tutorials for how to set it up, any USB sound card will do that has line in/out separately. The price point did it for me.
